Hello, I’m glad to meet you here.

At the end of 2020, I decided to become a psychological counselor. Before that, I had 13 years of work experience related to education and psychology. In 2022, I joined a two-year systematic counselor training program at Jiandanxinli Unit and began my professional practice as a counselor. I have accumulated 500+ client contact hours, including 200+ hours of pro bono counseling and 300+ paid counseling hours. I have also completed 200+ hours of individual and group supervision, which is ongoing, and 70+ hours of personal therapy/experiential work, also ongoing.

My working style: I appreciate the psychodynamic approach for its depth in understanding human nature, the person-centered approach for its warmth and authenticity, and Gestalt therapy for its liveliness and freedom. Depending on your needs and the therapeutic process, I may integrate these approaches in our work together.

In sessions, I pay close attention to your present-moment state, emotions, feelings, wishes, and needs, as well as what matters to you. I also notice what happens in our interaction, and explore your experiences, thoughts, struggles, resources, desired direction, and the meaning and impact these have for you.

Meeting people and exploring life are important inner motivations for me. I have also gone through periods of darkness, pain, confusion, struggle, and losing touch with myself. Through a long process of self-exploration, counseling training, personal therapy, and meaningful encounters with myself and others, I gradually found my way back to myself.

Because of this journey, I hold deep interest in each individual life, along with curiosity and respect for human nature. I care about your feelings, thoughts, and needs. With attentive listening, warm support, sensitive awareness, and professional understanding, I will accompany you in exploring your life story, what you care about, what you long for, and where you hope to go.

In a safe and confidential space created for you, I will listen to you, seek to understand you, and do my best to see you more fully. Together, we may gradually gather the parts of yourself that feel scattered, reconnect with them, and move toward a more integrated sense of self. I also believe that the person who can support and protect you is, in an important way, already within you.

If you feel ready, you are welcome to book a session and begin this personal journey of exploration together.
